Updated “Scroll Through Igloos” Feature!

Hello Penguins!

Yesterday’s post about the new music making game has stirred up a lot of excitement!  That’s awesome.  All of your comments are helpful, so keep them coming!  The team is still putting the finishing touches on the game so it will be all ready for Music Jam ‘08, which, as you know, begins Friday.  I can’t wait to hear what you think once you play the game!

In other news: Since the features were released last week, many of you requested to be able to view the igloos on the map as a list, so the team got to work and added it yesterday! From your map, click on the igloo and a list comes up.  Hopefully it will be even easier for you to check out cool igloos!  Try it out and let us know what you think.

Screenhog Announces New Game!

Hi Everyone!

Ever since Club Penguin began, there has been a DJ table sitting in the Night Club.

The plan always was to turn the DJ table into something more fun, something more interactive, but we never really got around to it.

Until now.

On Friday, July 25 with the launch of the Music Jam ‘08 party, we are introducing the new game!  It’s Club Penguin’s first music-making game!

Of course, it’s a little hard to show how cool it is from just a screenshot, since you can’t actually hear the music.  But when it launches with the party, you will.

Party Prep! Music Jam ‘08… Coming July 25!

Hello Penguins!

There’s been so much excitement around the new features so I thought I’d give you something else to look forward to…July’s party!

In other news:  Did you see the construction at the Night Club?  Something big is happening there – Grab your hard hats and jackhammers if you want to help out. I don’t want to give too much away but I can tell you it’s related to the party and a new game that will be coming!! Also, to get you in the groove for the musical festivities, new furniture and music were released today. I can’t wait to see how you’ve rocked out your igloos!!

Feature launch a success!!

Hello Penguins!

The new features have definitely stirred up a lot of excitement since they launched successfully yesterday. Your feedback so far has been fantastic and really helpful! I hope you’re having fun exploring and trying out the features, and even discovering some that we didn’t announce. I heard about a few of them yesterday from some of you! 

As soon as the features launched, the team got to work on a few changes based on your comments. The big one they’re working on today is with viewing igloos on the map. The team is adding the ability to view igloos you can visit as a list. I’ll let you know when it is added!

Thanks for letting us know what you think of all the features–keep the comments coming!

The team is also working on fixing a few bugs. Some of you expressed concern about the green puffle at the Ice Rink and wondered if it’s permanent (some of you really liked it too!). Don’t worry, the rink will go back to normal soon–so enjoy the green puffle while it’s there! There’s a bug with the Ice Rink right now, and when it’s fixed you’ll be able to play hockey again! 

I’ll post more updates as they come in!

Features Launched!!

Hello Penguins!

Great news!! The features have launched! Thanks to all of you for your help, patience and involvement in this project! 

Be sure to let us know what you like and even what you think should be changed.  

I’m really excited about Penguin Mail and wanted to remind everyone to check their mailboxes as soon as they have the chance. You can view your mailbox by clicking the envelope on the top left of your screen. And be sure to check it often because now buddies can send you mail even when you’re not online which means you’ll probably have mail waiting for you!! Plus you never know who you might get a postcard from! 

Here’s a quick list of features to look for:

• Server selection (this one you’ll notice when you’re logging into Club Penguin!)
• Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
• Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)
• Igloo background (This one just looks really cool!)

There’s a lot of smaller stuff too–can you find some of it? I’ll post a more detailed list later this week!

As with anything new like this, there will probably be some bugs and as always, the team will not stop working on it until they’re all squashed.

A couple quick notes:

• Your penguin name and password will need to be re-entered when you login for the first time with the new features. If you can’t remember your password, just click the Forgot Password link below the login. A new password will be sent to the email you used to create your penguin account. 

• You need to have Flash Player 9 installed on your computer in order to play Club Penguin.

Squashing bugs: features coming

Hello Penguins! 

I wanted to give you a quick update on the feature launch. The team is working hard and they are squashing a few more bugs they just found. The game will be down for a little longer while they fix the bugs. As soon as the features launch, the game will be up and running again!

Features ready to launch!

Hello Penguins!

The team is ready to launch the new features!! Later today you’ll be able to login and try out the new features for yourself! The game will be unavailable for a little bit before the features launch, so you won’t be able to login.

But as soon as the game is up and running again, the new features will be available. If when you login again the features aren’t there be sure to clear your cache! Check out the Help Section of the website to learn how to clear your cache. 

 Here are some features you can look for as soon as they launch:

Club Penguin on the DS!!

Hello penguins!

I am very excited to be the first to let you know about a very special project we’ve been working on!

Ever since Club Penguin was launched, many of you have been asking and talking about a DS game and we’ve been listening. Here’s a bit of what you can look forward to:

I can’t get into too much detail but you might be wondering about the name ‘Elite Penguin Force’.  In the DS game you take on a special role as part of the Elite Penguin Force and solve mysteries that even Secret Agents don’t know about!

That’s just the start! You’ll also be able to play some of your favorite mini games and earn coins and other rewards that can be uploaded into your Penguin account!

I’ll have more info in the coming months. We’re hoping to have the game done by this holiday season so you’ll only have to wait a few more months!

A New Game! Sneak Peek

Hello Penguins!

A couple weeks ago I promised I would post a few more summer sneak peeks! I was able to get a bit of info on a new project the team is working on for the end of the month. I think you’re going to like it–especially if you’re into music! It’s a new game–but I don’t want to give away too much, but I was able to get some concept art from the team. Here it is. Sorry For Not Posting

Hello Penguins!

As we head into the month of February, I am getting really excited!  There are a lot of great things coming out that I can’t share yet, but I can tell you that they have to do with Rockhopper’s recent troubles.  Keep checking the newspaper for more details because its only getting started!  As always, we would love to hear what you think is going to happen.

Rockhopper Departs

Hello Penguins!

What a day! I hope you had a chance to say goodbye to Rockhopper before he left today! If you want to, you can see him rowing away in the telescope at the Lighthouse. I know many of you probably have been wondering why he would leave without his ship–from what I’ve heard, he’s heading out to find a solution for his loss. He’s not much of a Captain without a ship. But many of you already know that and have expressed it a lot over the last week. 
Many of you have been asking for a way to help the Captain. For those of you who haven’t checked out the Beach yet you should, because it looks like someone is organizing a campaign to help Rockhopper! I can’t say a lot more right now, but from looks of things at the Beach, things are far from over. In fact, I can tell you some really cool stuff is just getting started! There’s a lot happening in February and you don’t want to miss it!

In other news: The new clothing catalog came out today! I think it’s pretty cool, but we want to hear from you!

Stage Sneak Peek

Hello Penguins!

We’ve heard lots of great ideas from many of you about future themes for The Stage and I just found out about a new theme the team is currently working on. I wanted to be the first to give you a little sneak peek. I don’t have a lot of details right now, but I did find out that it will be released in February. And I managed to grab a small bit of art from the development team. What do you think?

New Igloo Music!!

Hello Penguins!

Monday, September 10, 2007 New Catalog & New Party! Hello Penguins! While most of you are heading back to school and learning a lot of new stuff, we decided to add a lot of new stuff to Club Penguin too!  What better way to enter a new season than with some new fall fashion for your penguin!  Be sure to check out the new clothing catalog and as always, we’d love to know which new stuff is your favorite! Another thing we’re working on is the first ever “Club Penguin Fall Fair!”  It is going to be a huge party with some fun new stuff that has never been in a party before!  I can’t say anymore right now, but I will try to get a “sneak peek” picture for you next week. You may have heard that Club Penguin is now a part of Disney and you may be wondering what does that mean?  Over the last few months, Club Penguin has been looking for a company we could work with to help us not only add more cool stuff to Club Penguin, but to take Club Penguin throughout the world into many different languages.  We wanted kids all over the world to be able to experience Club Penguin and we couldn’t do it alone. where is rockhoppers key to his ship you say? well i am not sure but i have heard that is most likely to be hidden some where on his ship it could be on the outside/top of his ship or it could be in the ship hold/ bottom i would say that it is under the staircase
